The first step for calculating the dimension of a medical gas pipeline system is to lay down the terminal units in all the various locations: Inpatient wards, Emergencies, Operating Rooms, Maternity, Radiology, Critical Care Units etc.
Once all terminal units are located, it will be possible to evaluate the diversified flow of each section of the medical pipe. Once the diversified flow and length of a same portion of pipe are known, a pressure loss will be determined. The idea is to always keep a reasonable pressure loss of less than 5% between the plant room and the most remote terminal unit.
Do not hesitate to submit your project to our commercial team and we will be more than happy to contribute to the dimensioning of your piping system according to the highest standards.
